mission

Collaboration with M.D. Anderson

The Joanne Pang Foundation and the M.D. Anderson Cord Blood Bank, a public cord blood bank in Houston, Texas, are collaborating to collect, test and store umbilical cord blood units from the ethnically diverse population of the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Joanne Pang Foundation is working with hospitals in the city of San Francisco and surrounding areas to establish public collection programs to preserve the life saving stem cells found in umbilical cord blood. Cord blood cells are a proven cure for multiple blood and other disorders. Research continues to find new and exciting uses for cord blood stem cells.

For more information about becoming a public cord blood donor or to learn more about the project, please contact a representative from the Joanne Pang Foundation.
