Your Gift Can Save Lives

Non-controversial umbilical cord blood has the power to save the lives of people with many blood disorders—including leukemia and sickle cell anemia—but most cord blood is discarded.

The cord blood collection program is the Bay Area’s first public, non-profit cord blood collection program available to all donors, at no cost to the donor or hospital. Unlike private cord blood banks, units banked with this program will serve anyone seeking a cord blood match.

The mission of the Joanne Pang Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, is to make participation possible for all who want to donate their baby’s cord blood.
