Helen Vydra Roy Chief Operating Officer helen@joannepang.org Helen Vydra Roy has an extensive track record of success in developing messaging and marketing campaigns for non-profit organizations. As a trade analyst for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), she provided marketing, management and regulatory guidance to US companies investing overseas. Helen authored comprehensive USAID guidebooks to help American businesses use emerging web technologies to market themselves. Recently, she has successfully led fundraising and marketing efforts for a number of San Francisco schools. Helen received an M.A. from Columbia University in international policy analysis and management and a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. |

Sally Brien Holper President sally@joannepang.org Sally Brien Holper has driven financial growth and success at a variety of non-profit organizations over the last twenty years. She is responsible for the Joanne Pang Foundation’s fundraising, grant writing, community outreach and constituent relationship management. Previously, Sally held senior management positions at a number of San Francisco Bay Area biotechnology companies including Corning, Costar and Flow Laboratories. Sally oversees a number of high impact fundraising and development activities at various private schools in San Francisco, including grant writing. She holds a B.S. in biology from the College of William and Mary. |

Richard Chan Vice President richard@joannepang.org Richard Chan has a comprehensive background as a founder, leader and manager who has successfully shaped the global product development and operations of Incase Designs. He provides global product development, sales and production support to firms such as Gap, Levis, Gymboree, North Face, Nike, and Adidas. In addition to his skills and success in the private sector, Richard is also driven by his personal connection to the fight against leukemia and other blood diseases. Following multiple unsuccessful treatments, he lost his wife after a five-year battle with leukemia. Richard received a B.S. in marketing and international business from San Francisco State University.

Lisa Napoli Vice President lisa@joannepang.org Lisa Napoli has the rare ability to convert individuals’ enthusiasm for a good cause into tangible benefits for everyone in the community. A few of her community development successes include fundraising and subsequent coordination of a food bank effort, complete renovation of a local playground and clubhouse, and renovation of a church. As a senior program officer at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation, she awarded grants that launched a variety of programs. Lisa also has experience writing grants and raising funds for San Francisco non-profit organizations and schools. Lisa received a B.A. in international studies from the University of Washington and an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. |

Gregory Porter CFO and Treasurer greg@joannepang.org Greg Porter has extensive experience in shaping the financial practices and strategies of non-profit organizations as they grow. He is a partner with Silverman, Krantz & Porter, a San Francisco accountancy corporation that provides personalized accounting and tax services that include preparation of financial statements, budgeting analysis, audits, tax preparation, and bookkeeping. Greg has served as an outside director on a variety of boards and is on the finance and audit committees of several San Francisco organizations. He received a B.S. in accounting from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. |

Joseph Pang, Ph.D Sept. 23, 1957- March 13, 2010 Founder Joseph Pang established the Joanne Pang Foundation in 2004 in memory of his late daughter and to promote the search for cures for all blood diseases. He was committed to making public cord blood collection in Northern California a reality. Joe wrote See Daddy! That’s The New Kite, an account of nine year-old Joanne’s valiant battle with leukemia and the subsequent effects on her loving family. He managed the analytical research and development department for InSite Vision, a biopharmaceutical company developing novel ophthalmic products. Joe received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Michigan and was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University before joining the private sector. |
